Business Analyst

Initial 6 month contract + Possible extension Up to $111 per hour + Superannuation Hybrid and Flexible working available

We're partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced Business Analyst.

Working within a high-profile procurement transformation program, you'll support the ongoing enhancement and adoption of a recently implemented enterprise procurement platform. This role will see you collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes and help deliver meaningful outcomes across multiple government agencies.

What you'll be doing

- Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements
- Develop explicit user stories and acceptance criteria
- Create current and future state process maps
- Document end-to-end business processes and service workflows
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define solution requirements
- Support requirements prioritisation and scope management activities
- Maintain traceability between business benefits, requirements and solution outcomes
- Produce detailed business, functional and technical documentation
- Act as a conduit between stakeholder groups to support effective communication
- Identify and recommend business process improvements
- Contribute to organisational change and adoption activities
- Support Agile delivery practices and project outcomes




- Assist with solution definition and continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to bring

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar process-focused role
- Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong business process analysis and process mapping capabilities
- Experience developing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Proven workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to rapidly understand and analyse complex business problems
- Experience producing business, functional and technical documentation
- Strong requirements management and traceability experience
- Experience supporting business process improvement initiatives
- Exposure to organisational change activities
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience supporting SaaS or enterprise platform implementations

Bonus points for

- Experience working on procurement or source-to-pay platforms
- Exposure to government or public sector environments
- Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programs
- Knowledge of procurement business processes and operations
- Experience delivering outcomes within complex stakeholder environments
