Sydney Tools is a leading Australian retailer of industrial tools, machinery and equipment, with a rapidly growing network of stores across Australia and New Zealand.

We are currently looking for a reliable, organised and experienced Inventory Assistant to join our team at our Riverwood Head Office.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong attention to detail and is looking for a stable, long term role within a fast paced and growing business.

About the Role

Working closely with management and key departments including Marketing, Accounts Payable and Merchandising, you will play an significant role in maintaining accurate product and inventory information across the business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Inventory Management: Upload new products, maintain product information, update pricing and archive discontinued products within our inventory system.
- Stock Control: Process stocktake information across our store network and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain inventory reports for management and relevant departments.
- Purchase Orders: Assist with the creation, processing and management of purchase orders.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and complete regular data entry using Microsoft Excel, Word and internal systems.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Accounts Payable and other internal teams to ensure inventory information remains accurate and up to date.
- General Administration: Provide additional administrative and inventory support to management as required.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- 1+ years' experience in an Inventory Assistant, Inventory Administration or similar role.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong data entry and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Robust time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across different areas of the business.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
