The Opportunity

The project at hand is a newly secured Correctional Centre project located near Ipswich.

To support the successfully awarded phase of this major infrastructure development, we are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Services Manager to lead the planning, integration, commissioning, and execution of complex Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire, Security, and Specialist Services (MEPF).

This is a key site-based leadership role on a flagship QLD government/infrastructure asset, offering high visibility, technical complexity, and long-term security.

Key Responsibilities

- Services Integration & Coordination: Oversee and manage all building services, BIM/3D coordination, and technical design integration across Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Hydraulics, and high-security / specialist systems.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Lead the procurement, trade package scope definitions, and day-to-day management of MEP sub-contractors, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, safety, quality, and budget.
- Security & Specialized System Oversight: Drive the coordination of specialized security, electronic access control, perimeter, and operational services unique to secure facility environments.
- Design & Construct (D&C;)



Leadership: Review engineering drawings and specs, manage buildability issues, identify value-engineering opportunities, and resolve site clashes proactively.
- Commissioning & Handover: Manage the full testing and commissioning process through to practical completion, regulatory compliance, and seamless operational handover.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary technical point of contact for client representatives, external engineering consultants, local utilities, and project leadership.

About You

- Experience: Demonstrated track record as a Services Manager, Building Services Coordinator, or Senior MEP Engineer working with a Tier 1 or Major Tier 2 Main Contractor.
- Sector Background: Exposure to large-scale, highly services-intensive commercial projects (e.g., Hospitals, Correctional Facilities, Data Centres, Airports, or Laboratories/Research Facilities).
- Technical Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Building Services, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant trade background with proven technical leadership experience.
- Strong Knowledge Base: In-depth understanding of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA compliance, security integration, and complex commissioning frameworks.
- Leadership & Communication: Outstanding negotiation, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills, with a proactive hands-on approach on site.
