About the role

Vinova are partnering with a leading critical infrastructure operator seeking a Critical Environment Technician to join its Sydney operations team.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you'll support the safe and reliable operation of critical facilities, helping to maintain essential infrastructure across electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems.

The role combines technical troubleshooting, maintenance coordination and contractor management within a highly structured, mission-critical environment. You'll also be a visible representative of the operations team, regularly engaging with customers onsite and helping deliver an exceptional client experience.

Duties

- Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance across critical infrastructure.
- Monitor facility performance and respond to faults and operational issues.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause investigations and risk escalation.
- Manage contractors and ensure works are completed safely and to procedure.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports and technical documentation.




- Support infrastructure improvement and optimisation projects.
- Liaise with customers onsite, provide operational updates and support client reporting requirements.
- Participate in customer tours and act as a skilled representative of the operations team.

Skills & experience

- Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Fire Systems, Engineering or similar.
- 3+ years' experience within critical facilities, infrastructure, industrial or technical environments.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC or building services infrastructure.
- Exposure to BMS, EMS or similar monitoring systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and contractor coordination skills.
- Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with clients and stakeholders.
- Comfortable presenting technical information to customers in a professional and approachable manner.
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance.
- Data centre, healthcare, defence, utilities or telecommunications experience will be highly regarded.
