About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Queenstown . This role is central to assessing financial risks and opportunities for the company by applying mathematical and statistical methods. You will be involved in pricing, reserving, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making and ensure the long-term solvency and profitability of the business. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and inform business strategy.
- Assist in the valuation of liabilities and the assessment of capital requirements.
- Support the development and refinement of insurance products based on actuarial insights.
- Prepare actuarial reports and present findings to management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with various departments, including underwriting, claims, and finance,



on actuarial matters.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Progress towards actuarial examinations (e.g., SOA, IFoA) is essential.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in actuarial software, statistical packages, and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and ethical conduct in financial analysis in Queenstown .
