Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major recent hyperscale data centre campus in Queensland. Its first building is in delivery, with further buildings planned across the campus. Quality, reliable power and rigorous testing will be central to bringing each phase safely into operation.

The role

The Senior Manager, Quality and Commissioning will own the project quality assurance framework and commissioning programme across construction, high-voltage and utilities, and customer fit-out. You will establish the evidence that each system performs as intended before it is accepted by the customer or handed to Operations.

This is a delivery leadership role spanning inspection and test plans, non-conformance management, commissioning readiness, integrated systems testing and formal handover. You will work closely with construction teams, the HV Utilities lead, design, specialist commissioning agents, vendors, customer technical teams and Operations. You will have the authority to reject systems that do not meet the required activation standard.

What you will lead

- The WDDP quality assurance programme, including ITPs, hold and witness points, audits and NCR close-out across the major construction workstreams.




- Commissioning plans and sequencing from component and system testing through integrated systems testing and operational acceptance.
- Testing of critical power, cooling, controls and fire systems against design intent and customer requirements.
- The interface between construction completion and commissioning readiness, including clear criteria for accepting systems into testing.
- Customer witnessing, test sign-off, defect resolution and the commissioning documentation required for handover.
- Specialist commissioning agents and vendors, with a consistent standard of test rigour, safety and record keeping.

What you will bring

You will have led quality assurance and commissioning on a data centre, mission-critical facility or comparably complex infrastructure project. You will know how to maintain testing standards when delivery dates are under pressure and how to resolve issues across contractors, technical specialists and customers.

- Significant experience with integrated systems testing and critical power and cooling infrastructure.
- Strong command of ITPs, NCR systems, hold and witness points, commissioning protocols and defects close-out.
- Experience managing commissioning agents, specialist vendors and customer acceptance processes.
- A practical understanding of construction-to-operations handover, including test records, asset information and O&M; documentation.
- The technical judgement and credibility to challenge readiness claims and lead corrective action.
- An engineering qualification is desirable; relevant commissioning and quality certifications are well regarded.
