Our client is an Australian airline providing regional RPT, ACMI and charter services across the country. They operate a fleet of 11 aircraft, including Dash 8 turboprops and Airbus A319s, and are part of the world's largest ACMI group, with operations across 6 continents and more than 11,000 aviation professionals worldwide.
We are seeking full-time B1.1 & B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMEs) to join their engineering team based in Cairns.
The roster is rotational, with 5 days on / 4 days off and 4 days on / 4 days off. Shifts are 10.5 hours, with morning shifts starting at 5:30 am and late shifts at 2:00 pm, providing a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Engineering Manager and wider engineering team to ensure all aircraft maintenance and certification meet regulatory, manufacturer and Part 145 MOE requirements.
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including line maintenance, to keep aircraft safe, serviceable and ready for operation.
- Ensure required parts, tooling and test equipment are available for maintenance and carry out defect rectification, including when working away from base.
- Support the company's safety and quality systems and travel to other locations when required.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Valid CASA/NZCAA B1.1 and/or B2 license, or EASA/UKCAA with valid relevant ratings, subject to CASA conversion/acceptance requirements.
- Dash 8 100/200/300 experience. A funded Dash 8 type-rating course is available, subject to a training bond agreement.
- Good knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures.
- Valid manual driver's license.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and independently when required.
- Solid attention to detail and a good work ethic.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to successfully obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
