The Role

We are looking for a Casual Retail Assistant to join our James St team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and excited to represent a sibling-run Melbourne label. You'll be part of a close-knit team delivering an experience that feels personal, creative, and aligned with the Alpha60 brand.

What You’ll Be Doing

Customer Experience: Deliver warm, considered and personal service to every customer

Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of Alpha60 products—fabric, fit, care and story—so you can confidently support customers and offer styling advice

Sales & Styling: Listen to customer needs and offer thoughtful product suggestions; upsell naturally and in a way that adds value to the customer experience

Teamwork:



Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to a respectful, supportive environment

Floor Readiness: Assist with tidying, restocking, visual merchandising and general upkeep to ensure the store remains beautiful and functional

Efficiency: Manage your time well, complete tasks promptly and support the team during busy periods with energy and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in fashion retail (preferred but not essential)
- A genuine interest in the Alpha60 brand and aesthetic
- Confident communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of customers
- A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude
- Availability to work across weekdays, weekends, and peak trade periods
