About the role

Vines Therapy is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers (Casual) to join our team in Essendon. This on-site, casual position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families within our community.

As a Care Support Worker, you will provide essential person-centered support to clients, assisting them with daily living activities and helping them maintain their independence and dignity. You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality care that aligns with our commitment to improving the wellbeing of those we serve.

You will assist clients with daily living, personal care and community participation, following individual support plans and respecting each person's choices, preferences and independence.

This role suits someone who communicates clearly, follows through on commitments and takes pride in providing respectful, consistent support.

Your responsibilities

- Provide person-centered care and support to clients in their homes and community settings
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and physical activities as required
- Administer medication and monitor client health according to care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care and progress
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or wellbeing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance client quality of life




- Follow individual care plans and organizational policies and procedures
- Maintain a secure and clean environment for clients
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent service delivery

What we require

- Experience in aged care, disability support, or community care settings
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability (or willingness to obtain)
- A current NDIS Worker Screening clearance, verified before commencing client support.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Quality, Safety and You
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Valid Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanour
- Physical capability to assist with client mobility and manual handling tasks
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings
- Understanding of person-centered care principles
- Satisfactory employment references.

Working arrangements

Support is delivered in client homes and community settings, with travel between locations. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays, depending on client needs and the agreed employment arrangement.
