The Role

Reporting to the Director, ETD Customer and Financial Management, the ETD Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial leadership and trusted advice to support informed decision-making across the Division. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills,



the ability to translate complex financial information into practical advice, and experience managing budgets, forecasting and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Managing budgets, forecasting and financial performance for ETD cost centres, accounts and IT projects.
- Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports, analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Providing strategic and operational advice on the Division's current and forecast financial position, performance and risks.
- Monitoring and reporting on contractor expenditure, funding sources and budget utilisation.
- Managing month‑end financial processes, reconciliations and reporting requirements.
- Building productive relationships with internal stakeholders and providing financial guidance to support effective budget management.
- Contributing to financial governance, compliance and continuous improvement activities.

Eligibility

- Citizenship: to be eligible for employment with the Department, you must be an Australian Citizen or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining it.
- Security Clearance: our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
