We are looking for an experienced, highly capable Store Manager / General Manager to take full day-to-day control of an established fish & chip takeaway in Templestowe. This is a long-term leadership position where you will walk into the business, learn the operation, take ownership and ultimately run the shop without the owners needing to manage the daily details. This position comes with considerably more autonomy than a typical hospitality manager role. Once you understand the operation, the owners want you to take control and run it.

Key responsibilities

Day-to-day operation of the store

Leading and managing the entire team

Staff rosters and labour control

Recruiting, training and managing staff

Managing staff performance and accountability





Food quality and consistency

Customer service and complaint resolution

Stock ordering and stock control

Food cost and portion control

About you

Proven hospitality management experience

Strong leadership and people-management skills

Robust customer service ability

Experience controlling labour and food costs

Experience with stock management and ordering

Confidence recruiting and training employees

Strong problem-solving ability

Ability to remain calm during high-volume service
