About the role

The Excavator Operator is responsible for the protected operation of Plant and Equipment. The role involves operating excavators and associated equipment, transporting, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring compliance with work health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

- Operation of excavators and associated equipment
- Transporting, loading and unloading materials
- Operating excavator in line with current work health and safety regulations
- Liaising with onsite engineers and clients as required
- Assisting with onsite labour duties when required
- Completing paperwork to a high degree of accuracy when moving, loading or unloading
- Unloading and loading of machines from vehicles




- Completing daily log reporting
- Carrying out daily pre-start machine safety checklist and reporting faults to manager
- Coordinating and overseeing required servicing and general maintenance for plant and equipment in consultation with manager

About you

- VOC or Ticket in Excavator Operations and Load Shifting (essential)
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience operating an excavator (essential)
- Knowledge of WPHS and loading of trucks and safely demolishing structures
- Confident operating an excavator and transporting materials
- Ability to work well with a team
- Organizational and time management skills
