As Christmas approaches, our West End store is getting busier. We’re looking for Retail Assistants to join the team in permanent full-time and casual roles. If you enjoy helping people find the right supplies - whether they’re buying a gift or starting their next project - we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll help customers find what they need, learn about all sorts of art supplies and pitch in with the team to keep the store running smoothly. Both full time and casual applicants need to be available to work weekends as part of their roster.
You’ll be involved in:
Welcoming customers and helping them choose the right products
Processing sales and answering customer enquiries
Replenishing stock and keeping the store looking inviting
Helping with merchandising, stocktakes and online orders
Jumping in wherever the team needs a hand, especially when things get busy
About you
For our full-time roles, you’ll need a good working knowledge of art materials and experience using them, so you can confidently help customers choose the right products. If you’re applying for a casual role, an interest in art, craft or making things and a willingness to learn are a great starting point.
You’ll bring a friendly approach to customers, an eye for detail and a willingness to get stuck in. Retail or customer service experience is preferred.
We don’t do snobby art-store energy. If someone comes in asking, “What do I need to make this thing I saw online?”, we want you to be excited to help them figure it out.
