Open Pantry Co. is recruiting a Venue Manager for a well-established coastal brewery venue in Torquay.

This is a full-ownership role leading a busy seven-day operation — 140 seats, a great tap list and a deck built for the surf‑coast lifestyle. If you’re an experienced operator ready to run your own venue with the backing of a national group, this is worth a look.

The role

You’ll lead the venue and its team end‑to‑end, own the numbers, and report directly to the Operations Manager. Genuine autonomy to shape the local guest experience, with the systems and support of a larger group behind you.

What you’ll own

- Day-to-day leadership of the venue and team across a seven-day trade
- Financial performance: nightly and weekly reporting, monthly performance reviews on revenue, safety and team
- Six-monthly planning: setting objectives, key events and local drivers with your team
- Local initiative: real autonomy over events,



activations and the guest experience, within national brand standards
- A modern operating stack: POS, rostering, bookings, stock and BI tools all in place

What you’ll bring

- Proven venue or assistant management experience in a comparable hospitality operation
- Strong commercial head: comfortable owning reporting, rosters and cost control
- A hands‑on leader who can build and hold a team through seasonal peaks and quieter months
- Someone who works well with autonomy; you’ll run your patch, not wait to be told
- Full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)

The offer

Base salary $85,000–$90,000, with a performance bonus and full package discussed at interview. A well‑loved coastal venue with the support of a national group behind you.
