Civil Construction and Parks & Gardens Workers – Sunshine Coast

Synergie Australia is seeking experienced Construction Workers, Civil Labourers and Parks & Gardens Workers to join our State Government and Local Council Clients across the Sunshine Coast region.

We have opportunities supporting State Government road and civil infrastructure projects as well as Sunshine Coast Council parks, gardens, natural areas and roadside vegetation.

What you will be required to do:

Depending on your skills, experience and qualifications, you may work across road construction, civil infrastructure, parks, gardens and general outdoor maintenance activities, including:

- General construction, civil and labouring duties
- Road construction, maintenance and repair activities
- Preparing work areas and assisting with site set-up and pack-down
- Assisting operators and tradespeople with construction activities
- Loading, unloading and moving construction materials, tools and equipment
- Assisting with excavation, drainage, concreting, kerbing and related civil construction activities
- Traffic control and pedestrian management activities, where appropriately qualified
- General parks and gardens labouring
- Operating and maintaining Council machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas, tools, plant and equipment
- Working around live roads, construction zones and traffic in accordance with site requirements
- Supporting the wider team to complete work safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards

Mandatory requirements – you must have:

To be considered for these positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Relevant construction, civil construction, roadworks, horticultural, parks and gardens,



landscaping or general labouring experience
Current White Card – CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry
- Current C Class Driver Licence
- Full Australian working rights – Australian citizens, permanent residents or candidates holding unrestricted Australian work rights
- Physical fitness, agility, strength and dexterity to undertake labouring duties, including frequent heavy lifting, bending and manual handling
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Desirable – highly regarded

- MR or HR Driver Licence
- Traffic Controller / Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) qualifications
- Certificate II in Horticulture or relevant horticultural experience
- Civil construction or road construction experience
- Experience operating construction plant and equipment
- Excavator, skid steer, roller or loader experience
- Experience with roadworks, asphalt, drainage, concreting or civil infrastructure
