Organizational context: IOM's Movement Operations, a core mandate since 1951, manages the organized movement of persons needing international migration assistance. This involves all travel aspects for migrants and refugees, coordinated globally and implemented through Country Offices. Migrant Training activities, including orientation programmes, are integral to successful integration in destination countries.
Job purpose: The Project Associate - Reporting supports the Australian Cultural Orientation Programme (AUSCO) by managing programme monitoring and reporting activities. This includes compiling, verifying, and maintaining programme data and records, preparing statistical and programme reports, and coordinating information requests. The role ensures timely and accurate provision of programme information and reporting outputs by working closely with programme staff, delivery locations, country offices, and implementing partners, adhering to established procedures and requirements.
Responsibilities: Assist in programme reporting activities, maintaining records and databases. Compile, verify, and maintain participant training data for accuracy and completeness within reporting systems. Produce routine statistical reports, dashboards, and performance tracking tools, identifying discrepancies. Support the preparation of contractual, donor,
and management reports by consolidating narrative and statistical inputs. Facilitate knowledge management by contributing to programme documentation repositories. Coordinate information requests from stakeholders, supporting data collection and dissemination. Monitor reporting calendars and deadlines, liaising with staff for timely submissions. Provide administrative and technical support for reporting and monitoring activities. Uphold RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards and IOM Standards of Conduct.
Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with three years of experience, or a High School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
Work experience: Experience in data management, reporting, and/or information management is required. Experience working with migrants, civil society, or government is advantageous. Prior experience with IOM, a UN agency, or another international organization is also beneficial. Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Baseline security clearance is necessary.
