Levande is seeking an established Senior Development Manager to lead complex retirement living projects in Melbourne. You’ll take responsibility for commercial performance and delivery, working with multidisciplinary teams to bring well-designed communities to life.

This role requires someone currently working as a Senior Development Manager who has delivered built-form projects valued at $80 million or more.

Experience with projects around $200 million will be highly regarded.

You’ll lead projects across the development lifecycle, from feasibility and design through approvals, construction and sales. You’ll make the decisions that keep delivery moving while balancing programme, profitability, safety, sustainability and the needs of future residents.

What You Will Be Working On

- Deliver projects against programme, budget, cash flow and profit return targets.
- Assess feasibility models, manage expenditure and identify opportunities to improve returns.
- Lead design, approvals, contract management and construction delivery.
- Manage consultants, contractors and project risks, including health, safety and sustainability outcomes.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to support project performance and respond to customer issues when needed.
- Lead and coach Development Managers and Assistant Development Managers.

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

You are currently a Senior Development Manager with proven experience delivering built-form projects valued at $80 million or more. You’ve led complex apartment or other built-form developments through construction and can take responsibility for delivery at this scale from the outset.

You bring strong commercial judgement, experience analysing Estate Master feasibility models, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work effectively with contractors, consultants and stakeholders. Retirement living experience would be valuable; proven delivery at the required scale is essential.
