Summary of Role

- Performing hourly quality checks on moulded plastic parts.
n
- Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a solid commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.

- Maintains a high level of cleanliness in the department.
n
- Maintaining enough raw material plastic for their shift and part of the next shift.
n

Specific Responsibilites

n

n
- Performs hourly quality checks according to the relevant production form
n
- Maintains enough raw material on all jobs for their shift and into the next shift
n
- Make sure any material, including masterbatch is available for any changes on the shift.
n
- Participate in toolbox meetings / daily safety – quality whiteboard meetings
n
- Completes all relevant paperwork for hourly checks and raw material
n
- Basic troubleshooting for plastic parts which do not meet specifications on the hourly checklist
n
- Maintains a clean department according to the Moulding Cleaning Checklist
n

Essential Experience

- On the job training provided

- Experience working in a manufacturing environment

- Ability to read and write English

- Good verbal communication skills.

- Excellent team working, organisational and time management skills.

- Good understanding of company organization and structure, familiarity with relevant SDI policies and procedures and knowledge of day to day operation and terminology.
