King Bars is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to lead the company’s finance and administration functions and play an integral role in improving the financial performance of the business.

For more than 30 years, King Bars has been a trusted Australian manufacturer of premium truck protection systems, supplying fleets, dealerships, owner-drivers, repairers and OEM partners nationwide.

As the business continues to develop, we are investing in a senior finance and administration leader who can strengthen financial control, improve commercial visibility and provide the financial insight and organisational discipline required to support profitable, sustainable growth.

About the Role.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance & Administration Manager will assume responsibility for the financial management and broader administration functions of King Bars.

This is a hands-on leadership role that extends well beyond statutory accounting and historical financial reporting.

You will be responsible for providing the Managing Director, executive leadership team and departmental managers with accurate, timely and actionable financial information while actively protecting and improving gross margin, profitability, cashflow, working capital and overall financial integrity.

A critical component of the position will be developing a deeper understanding of the financial drivers behind King Bars’ manufacturing operations including material costs, labour efficiency, inventory, overheads, product margins, production variances and departmental performance and converting that information into practical recommendations for management decision making.

Alongside the finance function, you will provide leadership and oversight across King Bars’ administration activities, ensuring accounts administration, company records, documentation, administrative workflows and business support processes operate efficiently, consistently and with appropriate controls.





This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys being close to the business, understands how operational decisions translate into financial outcomes, and wants to make a measurable contribution to bottom-line profitability.

Key Responsibilities.

- Lead King Bars’ finance and administration functions, ensuring strong financial control, reporting discipline, and administrative accountability.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, management information, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
- Manage cashflow and working capital, including receivables, payables, inventory and forward funding requirements.
- Analyse manufacturing costs, gross margins and profitability to identify margin leakage, cost inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Production, Procurement, Engineering, Sales, and other departments to improve operational and financial performance.
- Maintain effective financial governance, statutory compliance, internal controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
- Provide commercial analysis and financial modelling to support pricing, capital expenditure, investment, and strategic decision-making.
- Lead and continuously improve accounts, administration, company records, documentation, and business support processes.
- Improve ERP, reporting, financial and administrative systems to increase efficiency, information accuracy and management visibility.
- Provide trusted financial and commercial advice to the Managing Director and leadership team, supporting business improvement and profitable growth.

What We’re Looking For.

- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role such as Finance Manager, Finance & Administration Manager or Financial Controller.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
- Strong experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, working capital and financial controls.
- Demonstrated commercial understanding of manufacturing costs,



gross margin, inventory, labour and operational profitability.
- Experience leading or overseeing administration and accounts functions.
- Strong ERP, financial reporting, and Microsoft Excel capability.
- Commercially astute, analytical, and confident translating financial information into practical business recommendations.
- Cooperative, accountable, and comfortable working across an operational SME environment.

You’re an experienced finance professional who believes the finance function should do more than produce reports.

You want to understand why the numbers are changing, what is driving margin and profitability, where cash is being consumed, where costs can be better controlled, and what management can do differently to improve business performance.

You are equally comfortable interrogating a Profit and Loss statement, analysing manufacturing costs and discussing working capital as you are sitting with an operational manager to understand what is happening on the factory floor.

You bring structure and discipline, but you are also commercially pragmatic. You know when to challenge assumptions, when to dig deeper into the numbers and how to turn financial information into recommendations that people outside Finance can understand and act upon.

You take ownership. You value accuracy, integrity, and accountability. And you enjoy improving systems and processes rather than accepting “the way we’ve always done it”.
