About the role

As Senior Manager, Governance & Monitoring, you will lead governance, monitoring and controls activities across Fund Services, supporting Group Tax, Finance, Enablement and Data. You will strengthen the CFO and Fund Services control environment, drive accountability and risk ownership, and provide transparent, evidence-based reporting to divisional, enterprise and Board governance forums.

This role is important because it helps CBUS remain prepared for regulatory engagement, identify and address emerging risks, and deliver effective remediation of incidents, breaches, audit findings and systemic control weaknesses. You will also lead and develop the Governance & Monitoring team, building capability and reinforcing a strong risk culture across Fund Services.

Key accountabilities

- Lead governance and accountability activities, including support for Financial Accountability Regime obligations, reasonable steps and compliance plans.
- Monitor the health of risks and controls, challenge out-of-tolerance positions and drive timely escalation and remediation.
- Coordinate regulatory readiness, audit actions, incidents,



breaches and systemic issues through to effective closure.
- Produce clear, evidence-backed risk and compliance reporting with meaningful insights, emerging themes and decision requests.
- Lead and develop the Governance & Monitoring team, strengthen partnerships and embed risk ownership and capability across Fund Services.

What will you bring?

- Experience in risk ownership, control management and remediation oversight within superannuation or regulated financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to uplift control environments, address gaps and improve evidence standards and testing coverage.
- Strong knowledge of operational risk, outsourcing and prudential requirements, including CPS 230.
- Proven ability to identify, assess and elevate risks, and manage treatment plans across multiple teams and service providers.
- Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills, with experience producing clear executive and governance reporting.
