School Bus Driver Location: Lockyer Valley Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week Wage: $31.85 per hour Recruitment 247 is currently seeking reliable and safety-focused School Bus Drivers to join our client's team. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent work during school terms while enjoying school holidays and public holidays off.

About the Role

n

School Bus Drivers work on school days only, completing two shifts per day: Morning run commencing between 7:25am and 7:45am Afternoon run commencing at the conclusion of each school day

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Conduct daily pre-start and safety inspections of the bus
n
- Ensure the bus has sufficient fuel for all scheduled runs
n
- Report any faults or defects identified during inspections
n
- Drive safely and efficiently while adhering to all road rules and speed limits
n
- Maintain the safety and wellbeing of all passengers
n
- Enforce and report breaches of the School Student Code of Conduct
n
- Maintain scheduled route times and ensure services do not run early
n
- Complete passenger checks at the conclusion of each run
n
- Sweep and clean the bus daily
n
- Close all windows and hatches after use
n




- Secure and lock the bus when unattended
n
- Wash the bus weekly
n

Experience & Qualifications

n

n
- Current Queensland MR Driver's Licence or higher
n
- Current Driver Authorisation (DA), or the ability to obtain one (medical assessment required)
n
- Previous experience driving buses
n
- Experience working with children is highly regarded
n
- Strong understanding of protected driving practices and compliance requirements
n
