DPM Consulting Group is a multidisciplinary civil engineering consultancy supporting land development projects across Australia.

n

We're looking for a Senior Civil Designer to play a pivotal role in our growing Queensland business based in Brisbane CBD. This is an opportunity for an established Senior Designer looking for an opportunity to shape and influence a growing team, or, for an emerging Civil Designer ready to step into a senior role.

You'll lead the production, review, and oversight of civil designs and provide technical guidance across project teams, supported with local and national expertise.

What you'll be doing

n

Technical Design Leadership & Documentation

n

n
- Lead design and drafting delivery for multidisciplinary projects including stormwater networks, culverts, detention basins/dams, bulk earthworks/grading, roads, water and sewer infrastructure.
n
- Develop, review and coordinate 12d models and AutoCAD drawings, and oversee high-quality construction documentation (plans, long sections, cross sections, set-out, details).
n
- Drive outputs that are technically accurate, compliant, constructable, and cost-effective,



with strong QA control.

Project Delivery & Coordination

n

- Plan and manage design packages within agreed scope, budget and programme; support PMs with resourcing, task allocation, programme planning, and documentation packaging.
n
- Support authority submission outputs; proactively identify design risks/constraints and coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders as needed.
n

Leadership & Capability Development

n

Provide day-to-day technical guidance, mentor junior designers/graduates, contribute to standards/templates/systems, and support continuous improvement.

n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Typically 6+ years (often 6–10+) civil design experience in a consultancy/qualified services environment.
n
- Strong Queensland delivery experience, specifically SEQ, with confidence navigating local authority requirements and approval pathways.
n
- Advanced capability in 12d Model (essential) and AutoCAD (2D); Civil 3D desirable.
n
- A quality-driven mindset: accurate, compliant, constructable outputs with minimal rework; strong problem solving and personal accountability.
n
- A genuine growth mindset approach to continuous improvement.
