About the role

You’ll prepare and cook food to a high standard, work with the team to deliver smooth service, and help maintain a secure, organised kitchen. Depending on your experience and where you work, you may run a section, support restaurant service, or prepare food for catering and community meal programs.

What you’ll do

- Prepare, cook and present dishes in line with recipes and specifications
- Manage your section during service where appropriate to your role




- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
- Store ingredients correctly, monitor stock and minimise waste
- Work closely with chefs and other team members during busy periods

About you

You have kitchen experience as a chef, cook, commis chef or chef de partie; sound cooking and food safety skills; and a reliable, supportive approach to teamwork. Formal culinary training, gained in Australia or overseas, is welcome. You’ll also need Australian working rights.
