The Gibson is a vibrant, community-focused venue in Stafford, bringing together great food, sport, entertainment and events.

We’re looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. If you enjoy being hands-on, leading from the front and making sure the venue runs smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll take charge of the venue on shift, leading the team and delivering a great experience for our members and guests.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading and supporting the team on shift.
- Managing day-to-day venue operations across food, beverage, gaming and events.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving issues confidently.
- Ensuring the venue is protected, compliant and operating to a high standard.
- Managing opening and closing procedures, cash handling and POS.
- Supporting events, promotions and key venue activities.
- Coaching your team and creating a positive, high-performing culture.

The Gibson operates under a midnight liquor licence, providing a more balanced trading environment than many hospitality venues where Duty Managers can be required to work significantly later into the early morning.

About You

You’re a confident hospitality leader who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being on the floor with your team.

You’ll have:

- Previous Duty Manager or supervisory experience in hospitality, clubs or a licensed venue.
- Current RMLV and RSG qualifications.




- Strong knowledge of liquor licensing, gaming and WHS requirements.
- Excellent communication and people leadership skills.
- The ability to stay calm, make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
