You will take responsibility for the day-to-day retail operation of the pharmacy while helping lead a significant store transformation. You will need to have high attention to detail and be highly organised. A major initial focus will be implementing DDS retail and merchandising standards, improving the presentation and performance of the store, and helping the team embrace new systems and ways of working. This part-time role will primarily be Monday to Friday work within school hours.

Key responsibilities

Leading the transition of the store to DDS brand and merchandising standards
n
Planning and implementing new layouts, merchandising and promotional displays
n
Managing and motivating the pharmacy retail team
n
Staff rostering, leave planning and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
n
Recruitment, onboarding, training and development of team members
n
Establishing clear expectations and maintaining high standards of customer service
n
Monitoring retail performance and identifying opportunities to improve sales and profitability
n
Stock management, ranging, inventory control and promotional execution
n
Working closely with pharmacists,
owners and suppliers
n
Helping improve systems, processes and workflow across the pharmacy
n
About you
n
Previous retail management or pharmacy management experience
n
Strong people-management and team-leadership skills
n
Excellent merchandising and store-presentation skills
n
Experience preparing rosters and managing staffing requirements
n
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
n
A practical, hands-on approach - you are happy to get involved and lead from the front
n
Confidence implementing change and bringing a team along with you
n
High standards of customer service
n
Good communication skills and attention to detail
