Are you an experienced Podiatrist looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialised clinical setting? Join Nepean Hospital as a Senior Podiatrist and play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients of the High Risk Foot Service.

In this rewarding role, you will provide specialised podiatry assessment, treatment and education to patients, families and carers across inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring the highest standards of care for individuals with complex foot and lower limb conditions. You will work with patients presenting with diabetes and other medical conditions that place the lower limb and feet at high risk,



demonstrating advanced clinical expertise across a broad range of complex podiatric pathologies.

The position contributes to outpatient, inpatient and outreach services through Mootang Tarimi and Greater Western Aboriginal Health Services, supporting the delivery of culturally safe and responsive healthcare. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in preventing complications, improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients with high-risk foot conditions.

What you will bring to the role

- Current registration as a Podiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with extensive postgraduate experience in podiatry and working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and understanding of cultural safety principles, with a proven ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in both internal clinical and community-based settings.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels
- Ability to provide in depth advice and education to enhance high risk foot service delivery in healthcare settings
- Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share QI initiatives and service evaluation processes as part of a team
- Demonstrated student supervision and staff training skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as a sole practitioner with advanced reasoning skills and ability to be able to operate autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to complete timely documentation.
