We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading student accommodation provider for a skilled Multi Trade Operative to support the maintenance and upkeep of student residential properties across London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy facilities team, carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks within occupied student accommodation buildings.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across student accommodation properties.
n
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
n
- Diagnose and rectify building defects and maintenance issues.
n
- Complete electrical and general multi-trade maintenance tasks.
n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety legislation.
n
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments before undertaking work.
n
- Maintain accurate records through digital job management systems.
n
- Identify and report additional maintenance requirements.
n




- Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times.
n
- Ensure properties remain safe, secure, warm and fully operational for .
n

Skills & Experience Required

n

n
- Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative, Facilities Technician or similar.
n
- Practical experience within construction, maintenance or facilities management environments.
n
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical is essential.
n
- Additional trade qualifications (plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, etc.) would be advantageous.
n
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
n
- Competent in the safe use of tools and equipment.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
n
- Excellent communication skills.
n
- Adaptable approach to working hours and participation in the on-call rota.
