Paediatric Physiotherapist - Full Time / Part Time
Robina, Gold Coast, Queensland
About Us
We're at an exciting stage at Ohana Physiotherapy.
Well-established on the Gold Coast, we're known for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while genuinely supporting our clients. While we've grown over the last few years, we've maintained the small, close-knit and collaborative feel that makes Ohana a great place to work.
We're clinician-led. Our directors are both practising physiotherapists who understand the realities of the role. As we grow, they're stepping further into leadership and clinical support, giving our physiotherapists the support and autonomy to focus on their clients and develop their careers.
Our team currently consists of 9 physiotherapists, 2 allied health assistants and a friendly admin team. We're a tight-knit team and place a lot of value on having good people around us, people who support each other, enjoy coming to work and contribute positively to the team culture.
We're also entering another exciting stage of growth, with an expansion of our Robina clinic and investment in new equipment planned over the next two months.
With one of our physiotherapists relocating interstate, you'll have the opportunity to step into a well-established caseload, rather than needing to build one from scratch.
The role is primarily paediatric-focused, with the option to work across a mixed caseload of children and adults if desired. Both experienced/senior physiotherapists and graduates are welcome to apply. What matters most is a genuine interest in paediatric physiotherapy and providing great care to our families.
What Sets Us Apart
- Trusted reputation - Families choose us for the quality of care, communication and support we provide.
- Led by clinicians who get it - Our directors are practising physios who understand the day-to-day realities of clinical work and provide genuine clinical and professional support.
- Varied, meaningful work - Your week won't be confined to one treatment room. While the role is based at our Robina clinic, you'll have opportunities to provide therapy in homes, schools, kindys, hydrotherapy pools and community settings.
- Rewarding pay structure - Enjoy the security and benefits of employment, plus an achievable commission structure that rewards your contribution and grows with your caseload.
- A team you'll enjoy being part of - We're close-knit,
collaborative and ego-free. We genuinely value team culture and the people we work with, and make time to enjoy ourselves outside the clinic too, with fun quarterly team events and regular opportunities to connect as a team.
- Full admin support - Spend more of your time being a physiotherapist while our admin team supports bookings, scheduling and coordination.
- Professional development - Access mentoring, structured PD sessions and support to continue developing your clinical skills and areas of interest.
- Real career progression - As Ohana grows, so do the opportunities within the team. Depending on your interests and experience, this could include stepping into mentoring roles, supervising physiotherapy students, developing a niche clinical area, contributing to education and community programs, or progressing into leadership.
Who This Role is For
We're open to physiotherapists at different stages of their career, from graduates looking for the right environment to develop their skills through to experienced or senior clinicians looking for their next challenge.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have experience or a strong interest in paediatric physiotherapy
- Enjoy building relationships with children, families and other professionals
- Are a good team person who values collaboration, communication and contributing to a positive workplace
- Are motivated to learn, improve and contribute
- Value evidence-based, individualised care
- Enjoy variety rather than treating the same presentations every day
- Are comfortable working across both clinic and community environments
What Working Here Looks Like
A boutique clinic in Robina - Conveniently located near cafés, shopping centres and lifestyle spots, and around 10 minutes from some of the Gold Coast's best beaches.
A genuinely diverse caseload - Work with neurological, musculoskeletal and developmental presentations across paediatrics, with the option to see adolescent and adult clients depending on your interests.
Clinic-based,
with variety built in - You will be based from our Robina clinic, complemented by community visits including homes, schools and kindys, as well as hydrotherapy sessions at local pools.
Flexible working options - Full-time and part time options available, with flexibility including early-finish Fridays or a 9-day fortnight depending on your working arrangement.
Family-friendly culture - We understand that clinicians have lives outside of work and aim to create a sustainable workplace where people can build a long-term career.
Purpose-built facilities - Private treatment rooms, open gym space, jungle gym/playground, rock climbing wall, spider cage, Pilates reformer and a range of paediatric and adult gym and therapy equipment, with additional clinic space and equipment coming soon.
The Work
Depending on your experience and interests, your role may include:
- Assessing and treating paediatric clients across a broad range of presentations
- Developing individualised, goal-directed therapy programs
- Working closely with parents, carers and families
- Collaborating with OTs, speech pathologists, medical professionals and other members of the client's support team
- Conducting assistive technology and equipment assessments
- Providing therapy across the clinic, homes, schools, kindies, hydrotherapy pools and community settings
- Contributing to team PD, clinical discussions and shared learning
- For those interested, opportunities to mentor, supervise students and help develop new clinical programs or services
Grow With Ohana
We're not looking for someone to simply fill a position.
As the clinic continues to grow, we want our physiotherapists to have opportunities to shape their own careers within Ohana.
That might mean becoming a mentor to other clinicians, supervising students, developing expertise in a niche area of paediatric physiotherapy, helping establish a new service or program, becoming involved in education and community initiatives, or progressing towards a senior or leadership role.
If there's an area you're passionate about, we'd love to help you develop it.
Ready to Join Us?
If you're a physiotherapist who loves working with children, whether you're an experienced paediatric physio looking for your next opportunity or a graduate keen to build a career in paediatrics, we'd love to hear from you.
