About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Learning Support Advisor to join our Library and Learner Experience team. In this role, you will design and deliver innovative learning support programs that enhance student success, retention and engagement, helping students develop the academic, language, literacy, numeracy, research and digital capabilities needed to thrive at university, including academic integrity and the appropriate use of generative AI and other digital learning tools.

Working closely with academic staff and stakeholders across the University, you will lead evidence-based initiatives, resources and targeted interventions that support UC's diverse student community. Through early intervention and scalable support solutions, you will empower students to build confidence, capability and independence throughout their studies.





Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and delivering innovative learning support programs across multiple delivery modes.
- Supporting students to develop academic writing, research and digital capabilities.
- Collaborating with academic staff to embedded academic learning development within units and courses.
- Providing expert advice on academic language and learning best practice.
- Leading and contributing to projects that improve, evaluate and benchmark Study Skills services, programs and resources.
- Analysing and reporting on student engagement and success metrics to identify improvement.

About you:

You are a highly skilled education professional with experience supporting learners in secondary, adult or higher education settings. You thrive in a busy and diverse environment, bringing a strong understanding of academic literacies, language development and/or numeracy support. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience designing and delivering learning support programs, workshops and educational resources.
- Strong knowledge of academic language and learning practices, student success strategies and contemporary pedagogies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.




- Strong prioritisation and autonomy.
- A commitment to equity, inclusion and supporting diverse learner cohorts.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing academic literacy, language and/or numeracy capabilities.

Eligibility:

- A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Education or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in teaching, learning advising or student academic support within secondary, adult or higher education settings.
