About the role

The Senior Manager, Controls is a key Line 1 risk leadership role within CBUS' Technology and Enterprise Delivery division, responsible for strengthening and continuously improving the end-to-end Technology controls workplace. Working within the Monitoring Controls and Governance (MGC) team, you will partner with technology leaders to ensure risks are effectively identified, managed, monitored and remediated across technology operations, cyber security, service and enterprise delivery and infrastructure functions.

This role is important in driving control effectiveness, compliance obligations management, issue remediation and incident governance. You will work directly with technology teams as the first line of accountability to embed strong risk management practices, improve control maturity and build a culture of accountability that protects CBUS, its members and its technology services.

Key Accountabilities:

- Lead the monitoring, assessment and uplift of Technology controls, including control effectiveness, testing outcomes, exceptions and emerging areas of risk
- Provide clear insightful risk and compliance reporting for executive, enterprise governance and Board forums, including the status of treatments,



owners and dependencies
- Support technology teams to design, implement and embed controls that meet applicable regulatory and compliance obligations
- Lead the triage and remediation of material incidents, breaches, audit actions and systemic issues, ensuring sustainable closure and effective root-cause treatment
- Lead and develop the MCG Technology Monitoring team while building strong partnerships and strengthening risk capability and ownership across the business

What will you bring?

- Experience in a similar Technology Risk, Controls, Audit, Assurance of Compliance role ideally in superannuation or financial services
- Proven experience improving control environments through control design, remediation, evidence standards, testing and ongoing monitoring
- Strong knowledge of operational risk and outsourcing expectations for technology services and vendors including CPS230, CPS234 and third party arrangements
- Proven ability to identify and escalat[?]???
- Strong stakeholder leadership and written communication skills, with experience producing clear, consistent and evidence-based executive and governance reporting
