We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Machine Operator to join the team at Aussie Guard Rail T/AS Aussie Sheet Metal. This is a full time position based in Berrinba, QLD 4117. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sheet metal machinery to produce high-quality components for our manufacturing operations. You will play a crucial part in our production process, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

- Operate sheet metal machinery and equipment in accordance with operational procedures and safety guidelines
- Set up machines with appropriate tools, dies, and materials ready for production runs
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet specified quality standards and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to maintain optimal performance
- Inspect finished components for defects and ensure compliance with quality specifications
- Prepare and maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience operating sheet metal machinery such as slitting machines & folding machines.
- Knowledge of sheet metal processes, techniques, and safety practices within the manufacturing industry




- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues
- Physical capability to lift materials and operate machinery safely for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A valid driver's license is preferred
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in machine operation are advantageous
