Project Director - Civil / Infrastructure
Role Title: Project Director
Daily Rate: $950 - 1,100 + Super per day
Contract: 6 months, with a high possibility of extension
Location: NSW | Regular travel to Central Coast project sites required

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the planning and delivery of major, complex hospital and health projects.

This is a senior client-side leadership role responsible for achieving project and program outcomes across the full project lifecycle. You will lead multidisciplinary project teams and work closely with government, health, clinical, operational and industry stakeholders.

The role will require regular travel to project sites across the Central Coast.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major hospital projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary and specialist project teams to achieve agreed time, cost, quality and delivery outcomes.
- Provide expert advice across business cases, project briefs, planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and transition.
- Manage project budgets, programs, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Establish and maintain effective project governance, controls, assurance and executive reporting.
- Lead engagement and negotiation with complex stakeholder groups, including government, health services, consultants,



contractors and delivery partners.
- Manage competing stakeholder priorities and drive collaboration towards agreed outcomes.
- Analyse project performance and develop strategies to address cost, schedule, risk and delivery variances.
- Lead effective transition between project stages while maintaining alignment with organisational objectives.
- Champion Work Health & Safety, ensuring safety remains a key priority throughout project delivery.

Skills

- Extensive experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Director or senior major-project delivery professional.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure or capital works projects.
- Solid client-side project delivery experience.
- Experience across the full project lifecycle, from business case and planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Experience within hospital, health, social infrastructure or complex major building projects will be highly regarded.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and non-negotiable project timeframes.
- Strong leadership, emotional intelligence and relationship-management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to WHS and safety leadership.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Central Coast project sites.
