Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Online Assessment Specialist to join their team in Queenstown . This role is crucial in developing, validating, and managing online assessment tools and strategies that accurately measure learning outcomes. You will work closely with curriculum developers and educators to ensure assessments are aligned with learning objectives, fair, reliable, and technically sound. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the quality and integrity of educational evaluations within the Eastern Cape region, utilizing a blend of remote and on-site work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement valid and reliable online assessments for various educational programs.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to align assessments with learning objectives and curriculum standards.

- Analyze assessment data to identify trends, evaluate test effectiveness, and provide feedback for improvement.

- Ensure online assessments meet technical specifications and accessibility requirements.

- Develop guidelines and best practices for online assessment administration and security.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, Statistics, or a related field.
n
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in assessment development and psychometric analysis, preferably in an online context.

- Strong understanding of classical test theory and item response theory (IRT).
n
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) and experience with assessment platforms.
n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
