Casual Direct Support Professional - Ground Works

We are looking for a motivated, innovative and resilient person to provide support for a group of supported employees attending employment services based in Thornleigh. The supported employees require assistance to assist people with disabilities in an outdoor environment to complete grounds and landscaping works. They require support with complex behaviours and assistance in engaging in meaningful work.

Key responsibilities

Support and encourage supported employees to participate in landscaping work

Use the manual handling techniques that are specified in a client's comprehensive person-centred plan

Support each supported employee and interact with their family members and other stakeholders respecting their dignity, cultural background and religious beliefs

Be part of developing, implementing, keeping records and reviewing each client's comprehensive person-centred plan and behaviour support plan

Work co-operatively as part of a team and treat all colleagues with respect

Respond to all incidents and injuries in accordance with Unisson's policies and procedures and the NDIS Quality Safeguards Standards

About you





Hold a valid NSW Driver's Licence (P2/full)

Confident driving Unisson vehicles

Energetic, compassionate, and emotionally resilient

Experienced in disability support (preferred)

Experience with Landscaping / Gardening preferred

Qualified with Cert III/IV in Disability (desirable)

First Aid Certificate

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Working With Children Check (if required for the role)
