About the Role

n

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Health and Safety team and reporting directly to the Health and Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

n

- Oversee and coordinate health assessments for new and existing workers
n
- Assist in coordination and delivery of hygiene monitoring programs
n
- Raising purchase requisitions, invoicing and tracking budget spend
n
- Assist Health Coordinator in injury management and rehabilitation processes as required
n
- Logistical planning and oversight for rollout of health initiatives across site
n
- Data management and recording for health surveillance and hygiene monitoring
n
- Process documentation and updating
n
- Maintenance of registers for personnel and equipment
n
- Participation in audit and projects around health and hygiene activities onsite
n
- Maintaining systems to manage the appropriate monitoring of employee exposure to industrial hazards.

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Experience as a Health Officer in a mining environment is desirable
n
- A thorough understanding of the legislative requirements for health and hygiene at a Queensland Coal Mine
n
- Align your high regard for personal safety and the safety of your teammates with the company values
n
- Able to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
n
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
