Position: Casual Disability Support Worker
Provider: Carewell Healthcare Disability Service Provider, Townsville

Hours: Immediate shifts available. Service operates seven days a week from 6am to 10pm with sleepovers. Flexibility required.

Description

- Support clients in disability houses and on community access outings.
- Tasks include personal care, mobility support including wheelchairs and hoisting, household cleaning and maintenance, assisting clients to achieve goals, shopping, attending appointments, and community activities.
- Must be reliable, honest, and hardworking, able to follow company policies and directions from management.
- Incident reporting and shift note writing required; excellent communication and valuable English language skills needed.

Requirements

- NDIS compliance completed prior to onboarding.
- Industry experience highly preferred.




- Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care Cert III or higher is a plus.
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance and Blue Card for working with children or ability to obtain.
- First Aid and CPR.
- NDIS Orientation Certificate.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Experience working with clients with intellectual disability or autism preferred; training provided.
- Hoisting experience highly preferred.

Additional

- Suitable for people seeking casual hours such as students; ongoing hours also available.
- Remuneration as per SCHADS Award with penalty rates for weekend shifts.
