Recruitment Consultant - Mining & Trades

The Role

You’ll manage recruitment across a range of skilled trades and blue-collar roles, primarily supporting clients within the mining and resources sectors.

You’ll take ownership of the recruitment process from sourcing through to placement and ongoing candidate management.

Your day will include:

- Sourcing and engaging skilled tradespeople – not simply waiting for applications.
- Building talent pools for current and upcoming client requirements.
- Advertising and managing vacancies across SEEK, social media and our database.
- Screening, interviewing and assessing candidates.
- Presenting quality candidates to clients.




- Building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Reference checking and pre-employment coordination.
- Maintaining an active and accurate recruitment database.
- Following up with employees after placement.
- Identifying new recruitment opportunities within existing and prospective clients.

Who We're Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have recruitment experience within mining and resources, trades or labour hire.

However, we’re also interested in people with strong sales, business development, customer service or industry experience who have the personality and drive to succeed in recruitment.

You’ll be someone who:

- Is confident picking up the phone and talking to people.
- Can build genuine relationships with candidates and clients.
- Enjoys working in a fast-moving environment.
- Is organised and comfortable managing multiple vacancies.
- Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Understands that great recruitment is about finding the right person, not just filling a vacancy.
- Is commercially minded and motivated by results.
- Wants to build something and be rewarded for their success.
