We're seeking an experienced Business Analytics Practice Lead to lead and develop a high-performing Business Analysis function. This is a senior leadership opportunity combining technical BA expertise, people leadership and stakeholder management.

About the Role

You'll lead a team of Business Analysts while driving BA standards, best practice and capability across the organisation. A key focus will be translating complex business and stakeholder needs into clear, testable requirements that software development teams can effectively deliver.

Working closely with customers, Product and Technology & Delivery teams, you'll bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery, helping shape effective software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Business Analysts.
- Own and improve BA standards, methodologies and quality practices.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
- Partner with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and facilitate solution discussions.
- Develop business requirements, user stories and supporting documentation.
- Provide expert BA guidance across projects and complex analysis activities.
- Support backlog management, prioritisation and delivery planning.
- Build strong relationships across Product, Technology & Delivery teams.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing team culture.

About You

You'll bring proven experience leading and mentoring a team of Business Analysts, alongside strong experience across the software development lifecycle.

You will ideally have:

- Extensive experience in Business Analysis, requirements gathering and process mapping.




- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of BA methodologies and best practice.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience working within Agile development environments is desirable.
- Relevant IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Relevant degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or relevant experience (essential).
- Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and co‑ordinating the work of a team in all aspects of business analysis to success outcomes.
- Extensive experience across the software development lifecycle - including business analysis, business process mapping, and the documentation of business requirements.
- Proven understanding of valuable business analysis practice, standards and methodologies.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills, able to translate complex technical information to plain English, and develop high-quality documentation.
- Interpersonal skills e.g. negotiation and influencing skills, which can be applied at senior levels of the organisation or with external stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills: able to plan, manage and follow through, ensures the best flow and completion of activities that deliver project results, on time, to specification and within budget (desirable).
- Experience working in a development environment that follows the Agile development methodology (desirable).
