The Role

As an APS 5 Logistics Officer, you will be given the unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.

Within the Logistics Support function, the APS 5 Logistics Officer is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex material logistics activities and tasks.

You will work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with risk based decision and problem solving.

The Logistics Officer provides governance and assurance support to our industry partners and high level logistic data analysis to identify and mitigate logistic risks, issues and opportunities.

This role supports the development of logistic plans and ongoing capability success, and is responsible to lead and manage liaisons between ALSPO, Air Force and our industry partners.

The Logistics Officer provides support, guidance and governance to internal and external stakeholders to ensure continued capability.

Defence has transitioned to SAP ERP from Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS). It is advantageous if the candidate has SAP experience.

About our Team

The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) at RAAF Base Richmond is a Business Unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division. ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF’s C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft. ALSPO, in partnership with industry,



exists to support Air Mobility Group achieve its mission by providing effective sustainment support solutions. Our team operates from RAAF Base Richmond NSW, the position has the responsibility of being customer and personnel centric and will be required to work predominately in location.

You will need an ability to utilise logistic software packages, develop database queries, interpret data, make sound decisions and use judgement. In addition, clear and concise communication skills with the ability to liaise with various levels of stakeholders is essential.

As an experienced logistics qualified, you will have an ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Work collaboratively and positively with the broader team
- Flexibility and resilience to respond to changing priorities
- Demonstrated understanding of budget management
