Ideal candidate

We're very enthusiastic about our Training Support capability, particularly in the maritime domain, and we're looking for more driven problem-solvers to join us as we help Defence uplift its acquisition and sustainment performance.

Training and Capability Advisory

- Provide training and capability development advice to the Project Manager.
- Deliver specialist training development guidance to Fundamental Inputs into Capability (FIC) elements, including commercial and acquisition considerations.

Stakeholder Representation

- Represent at internal and external governance, risk, and training forums

Training Strategy Development

- Lead and contribute to the development of training strategies and plans for maritime capabilities.
- Development and maintenance of the Training Development Strategy.
- Alignment of the training strategies with the higher level branch strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination

- Coordinate consultation and peer review activities to support training development initiatives.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding training development and current in-service training.
- Participate in enterprise-wide training,



capability integration, and training demand validation forums.

Training System Oversight

- Oversee and support training analysis, design and development activities in collaboration with Training Authority and key learning stakeholders.
- Review contractor deliverables and training related Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) submissions to ensure compliance and quality outcomes.

Success Factors

- Effective integration of training requirements into acquisition and sustainment programs.
- Development of coherent and aligned training strategies supporting operational capability outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and representation across Defence training and governance forums.
- Assurance of training system quality, compliance, and alignment with capability and workforce requirements.

Experience &/or qualifications

- Experience in managing and leading complex projects.
- Experience in delivering consulting product/services in our target markets.
- Externally recognised as an advanced practitioner in our service delivery areas.
- Qualified qualifications at the tertiary level and/or professional body certification.
