About the role

You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the Zambrero finance team, safeguarding the financial health of the Group across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. You'll work closely with our UK and Ireland Finance Manager to bring the Group's results together, leading the finance team as they deliver accurate reporting, strong governance and valuable support to the business.

What you'll do

Lead and develop the finance team, setting transparent priorities and building capability

Own the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, revenue recognition, cash and treasury, and fixed assets

Oversee financial reporting for a growing portfolio of corporate restaurants, including inventory, payroll and weekly reporting

Drive the month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation

Prepare monthly management accounts and Board reports

Manage external audits and tax compliance across Australia, the US and New Zealand

Champion process improvement and automation, including greater use of AI-enabled tools





Induct new franchise partners on their financial and compliance obligations

About you

Suitable candidates with the following skills and experience are encouraged to apply:

10+ years' finance and accounting experience, including at least two years in a senior finance leadership role

CA or CPA qualified

Extensive financial accounting experience, ideally within multi-site retail, hospitality or franchising

Strong knowledge of AU/NZ accounting standards and statutory compliance; US exposure highly regarded

Proven experience leading and developing teams of five or more, including offshore team members

Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise financial systems; Pronto, Power BI, Snowflake and AI tools well regarded

Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to make timely decisions and elevate risk appropriately

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
