Grafton District Golf Club is looking for casual Function and Event Staff to join our team for upcoming weddings, private functions, celebrations and special events.
This is an event based casual position with shifts offered around scheduled functions rather than regular weekly hours. It is an excellent opportunity for people looking for flexible hospitality work particularly those who enjoy working in a busy and professional event environment.
About the Role
Our Function and Event Staff assist with the smooth delivery of functions including weddings, parties, corporate events and other special occasions.
Duties may include
- Setting up and packing down function spaces
- Moving and arranging tables chairs and other furniture
- Preparing dining and function areas
- Serving food and beverages to guests
- Alternate drop and other function catering service styles
- Clearing tables and maintaining a clean organised venue
- Assisting with event service throughout the function
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Following instructions from supervisors and event coordinators
- Assisting with general event duties as required
What We Are Looking For
- Well presented and professional
- Friendly approachable and confident communicating with customers and team members
- Able to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable punctual and responsible
- Comfortable working in a fast paced event setting
- Physically capable of lifting and moving tables chairs and other furniture
- Able to maintain a positive attitude during busy functions
- Available to work weekends particularly Saturdays and Saturday nights this is a must
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in functions events restaurants clubs or hospitality is highly desirable
- Experience with alternate drop and other catering service styles is an advantage however training can be provided to the right applicants
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol RSA qualification is a bonus but not essential
