About the role

Reporting to the Clinical Intake Manager, the Clinical Intake Co-ordinator, ensures a seamless and supportive experience for clients accessing GFA's services. Working closely with the Clinical and Client Experience Team, the role is responsible for coordinating client intake processes. This role provides a responsive, compassionate, and clinically informed first point of contact for individuals and families seeking perinatal mental health support.

Key Responsibilities

- Review all new referrals and mental health treatment plans to assess suitability for GFA services.
- Liaise with referring health professionals to obtain clinical information necessary for accurate assessment and triage of new clients.
- Work collaboratively with clients efficiently direct new clients into timely clinical care.
- Conduct pre-admission screening to establish presenting issues, risk and protective factors and clinical urgency.
- Update waiting lists based on clinical information and identified actions.
- Escalate risks, clinical concerns, complex cases, and complaints to the Clinical Intake Manager.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes to enhance GFA’s intake systems and functions, and the client experience.

Terms of Employment

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) that will initially be contracted for 12 months, aligned to Grant Funding, with the possibility of extension.
