About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team in a fast-paced, high-volume QSR Support Office environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for end-to-end accounting and compliance across our growing portfolio of corporate restaurants in Sydney and throughout Australia.

This role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

- Perform day-to-day financial accounting for the corporate store portfolio, including journals and general ledger maintenance
- Complete bank and sales reconciliations across all corporate stores, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and post accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals
- Deliver assigned month-end and year-end close activities in line with the finance timetable
- Prepare GST returns and supporting workpapers, and assist with external audit queries and findings
- Liaise with restaurant operations and the broader finance team to resolve accounting issues
- Support continuous improvement of corporate store accounting processes and controls

About you

Suitable candidates with the following skills and experience are encouraged to apply:

- Minimum three years' experience in finance or accounting roles, with hands-on month-end close experience
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards qualification
- Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment (QSR, hospitality, FMCG or similar)
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills




- Experience working with external auditors, banks or advisors
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to work with non-finance stakeholders
