With strong growth nationally, this NSW expansion marks a major next step for the business and a rare chance to join at the start of something being built properly from the ground up. This is a key support role partnering closely with the Branch Manager to help set the site up for success and keep it running smoothly day-to-day. You’ll be the person who keeps the wheels turning -across warehouse operations, stock control, dispatch, customer pickups and stepping in with sales support when needed.

About the role:

This is a hands-on Warehousing / Sales Assistant position where you’ll play a critical role in getting the Sydney branch operational and keeping it humming.

- This is a brand-new role created as part of Auger Torque Australia’s (ATA) Sydney expansion - a rare opportunity to join from day one and help shape how the branch operates.
- Partnering closely with the Branch Manager, you’ll be a key support person across warehouse operations, dispatch, stock control and customer pickups, with the confidence to step into basic sales support when needed.
- You’ll play a hands-on role in setting the site up for success,



including helping establish recent processes and procedures as the branch ramps up (warehouse flow, stock routines, dispatch rhythms, admin checklists and day-to-day “how we run the place” standards).
- Day-to-day will include unpacking containers, putting stock away, pick/pack/dispatch, loading/unloading trucks, counter service, processing orders, booking freight, and maintaining accurate stock control through regular counts.
- You’ll also support the wider national team at times (Melbourne/Brisbane) and help keep things running smoothly while the NSW operation gains momentum.

About you:

You’re practical, switched-on, and you don’t wait to be told what to do.

- You have demonstrated experience working in a warehouse environment and you’re confident being hands-on (pick/pack, dispatch, loading/unloading, stock control)
- Forklift licence is required, with practical forklift experience in a working warehouse.
- You’ve already proven you can work independently, problem-solve on the fly, and get on with the job with minimal guidance.
- You’re trusted and autonomous by nature; you take ownership and don’t wait to be told what to do
- Ideally you’ve been a Warehouse/Branch Manager, 2IC, leading hand, or a senior team member who’s been relied on to keep operations moving
- Solid attention to detail - stock accuracy, freight bookings, paperwork and dispatch processes matter here.
- Confident and personable with customers at the counter and over the phone -you can help, process orders, and keep things moving when it’s busy
- Driver’s licence required.
- Comfortable handling stock up to 25kg and getting stuck in on container days (everyone locks in)
- Down-to-earth, straight shooter, and a steady operator who fits a practical, blue-collar environment
- Willing to complete police/criminal history checks
