Australian Concert & Entertainment Security – Redfern NSW

ACESGroup – Where Innovation Meets Security

At ACESGroup, we have always been a leader in combining operational expertise with cutting-edge technology. Our point of difference is transparent: we do not just use technology: we build it.
Across every division, from frontline operations to corporate services, our bespoke software tools are transforming how we work, improving safety, efficiency, and decision-making in real time.

Our technology is not solely for internal use; it is proven, commercial-grade innovation trusted by clients and organisations across Australia and internationally.

ACESGroup is not a guard supply company with technology in the background, we are a technology innovation company with a high-tech guarding division.
We are shaping the future of the security industry by integrating people, systems, and smart technology to deliver safer, more connected environments.

At ACESGroup, innovation is part of how we speak, teach, and operate, and we are seeking team members who wish to develop and grow with us.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Casual HR & Recruitment Administrator to join our People & Culture team, providing additional support during planned leave, peak recruitment periods and other periods of increased workload.

This is a 100% office-based position working from our Redfern Services Support Centre. Due to the nature of the role and the support provided to candidates, employees and our operational teams, there is no work-from-home or hybrid component.

This is a great opportunity for a recent HR graduate, final-year HR or Business student, or experienced administrator looking to gain practical experience across recruitment and HR administration in a fast-paced operational business.

This is a casual relief position, rather than a role with fixed weekly hours. We anticipate regular periods of work during October, November and December 2026, a 3-4 week period in April 2027, as well as other ad hoc periods throughout the year.

As ACESGroup operates seven days a week, we're looking for someone who has flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends when required.

You’ll work alongside our HR and Recruitment team, providing hands-on support across the employee lifecycle. Depending on business requirements, your shifts may include:

- Conducting candidate phone screens and following up applicants

- Coordinating interviews and recruitment activities
- Preparing employment and onboarding documentation
- Supporting candidates through recruitment, contracting and onboarding
- Following up outstanding licences, qualifications, inductions and other employment documentation
- Responding to employee and candidate enquiries by phone and email
- Updating HR, recruitment and workforce systems
- Maintaining accurate employee records and data
- Checking documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with training and credential coordination
- Preparing correspondence and other HR documentation
- Providing general HR administrative support during busy periods and team leave

The underlying position also supports contracting, onboarding and credential completion, including background and health checks, training coordination and maintaining accurate employment records.

About you

We're not necessarily looking for someone with years of HR experience. Your ability to learn quickly, communicate confidently and get the details right will be important.

You’ll need to be:

- Comfortable working in a 100% office-based environment at our Redfern Services Support Centre
- Confident on the phone and comfortable speaking with candidates and employees
- A quick learner who can pick up new systems, processes and procedures
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Able to manage a high volume of administrative tasks
- Professional and respectful when dealing with confidential and personal information
- Comfortable using technology and learning different HR and recruitment systems
- Able to use good judgement and know when something needs to be escalated
- Capable of working independently without constant supervision
- Equally comfortable working collaboratively as part of a busy team
- Flexible and willing to jump in where support is needed

Experience and qualifications

- A recent Human Resources, Business or related graduate

- In the final year of a relevant university degree or similar
- An administrator looking to develop practical HR and recruitment experience
- Someone with previous recruitment, HR, customer service or high-volume administration experience

Previous HR experience will be highly regarded, but for this casual opportunity, we're particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, reliability and ability to learn quickly.

Availability

This role has been created specifically to provide additional coverage during planned leave and peak periods, so flexibility is important.

We anticipate shifts being available during:

October - December 2026

Approximately 3-4 weeks during April 2027

Other ad hoc periods throughout the year

Applicants must be available to work weekdays and weekends, depending on operational requirements.

As this is a casual relief position, hours will vary and there is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours each week.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of HR and recruitment activities while working with an experienced team supporting a large and diverse workforce.

For someone starting their HR career, it's an opportunity to develop practical experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, HR systems, compliance and employee communications rather than being limited to one area.

If you're organised, confident speaking with people, quick to learn and someone who takes pride in getting the details right, we'd love to hear from you.

All candidates who reach the interview stage must pass a LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before the interview can commence.

ACESGroup is the 2022 and 2023 recipient of the Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence in Gender Diversity.

We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to workforce inclusion and diversity. Successful applicants will be subject to relevant background, police, medical, and reference checks.

ACESGroup does not accept referrals from recruitment agencies.
