Our client is a well-established, multi-partner accounting firm in Melbourne CBD, with a strong corporate secretarial division. After many years with the firm, their Corporate Secretarial Manager is moving on, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced CoSec qualified to step in and take full ownership of the function.
This is not a role where you'll be micromanaged. You'll run the division, shape its direction and develop new service offerings for clients, with the full support of the Operations Manager and partners.
Position overview
You'll look after the full corporate secretarial and governance function for the firm's client groups, and lead the firm's AML/CTF compliance under the Tranche 2 reforms.
- Registering new companies and business names, and establishing trusts
- Managing ASIC annual reviews, changes and deregistrations
- Maintaining share registers and processing share issues and transfers
- Preparing minutes, resolutions and statutory documents
- Leading the firm's AML/CTF program, including customer due diligence
- Leading compliance and corporate governance for the firm and its client groups
- Developing new corporate secretarial service offerings for clients

Ideally we are seeking someone with:
- 3+ years' corporate secretarial experience within a multi-partner accounting firm
- Strong working knowledge of BGL CAS 360
- Proven experience in corporate governance
- Hands-on experience with ASIC registrations, annual reviews, deregistrations and trust establishments
- A clear understanding of company, trust and group structures
- Experience with AML/CTF or KYC processes, highly regarded
- Highly organised, confident with technology, and a self-starter who enjoys ownership
