About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Interior Technician to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is focused on the installation, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring they meet high standards of safety, comfort, and aesthetics. You will work with various materials, including upholstery, composites, plastics, and cabinetry, contributing to the passenger experience. Key Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and refurbish aircraft cabin components such as seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, and sidewall panels.
- Perform upholstery work, including fabric replacement, leather repair, and carpet fitting, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues related to cabin systems, including lighting, entertainment systems, and air conditioning components.
- Adhere strictly to aviation regulations, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines for interior modifications and repairs.




- Maintain meticulous records of all work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.

Requirements

- Previous experience as an Aircraft Interior Technician , upholsterer, or in a related craft role within the aviation or high-end furniture industry.
- Proficiency in working with a variety of materials including fabrics, leather, plastics, and composite materials.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft interior schematics and maintenance manuals.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools common in upholstery and fabrication work.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
