Summary of Role

- Performing hourly quality checks on moulded plastic parts.
- Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI’s values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness in the department.
- Maintaining enough raw material plastic for their shift and part of the next shift.

Specific Responsibilites

- Performs hourly quality checks according to the relevant production form
- Maintains enough raw material on all jobs for their shift and into the next shift
- Make sure any material, including masterbatch is available for any changes on the shift.
- Participate in toolbox meetings / daily safety – quality whiteboard meetings
- Completes all relevant paperwork for hourly checks and raw material
- Basic troubleshooting for plastic parts which do not meet specifications on the hourly checklist
- Maintains a clean department according to the Moulding Cleaning Checklist

- Job Environment – The position is located at Bayswater
- Working hours – 38 hrs per week

Education Level Vocational/TAFE

Essential Experience

- On the job training provided
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge and skills

- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Excellent team working, organisational and time management skills.
- Valuable understanding of company organization and structure, familiarity with relevant SDI policies and procedures and knowledge of day to day operation and terminology.
