VENUE MANAGER - $90K - $100k + SUPERANNUATION

Middle Park Bowls Club is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy and growing members' club. The role combines the traditional responsibilities of running a community bowls club with a strong focus on functions and events, customer service, venue performance and member / visitor experience.

Key responsibilities

- Managing function and event enquiries from initial contact through to delivery
- Driving function bookings and venue revenue
- Recruiting, rostering and managing staff, including casual staff for the busy function season
- Providing a welcoming and qualified experience for members, visiting bowlers, guests and function customers
- Working behind the bar and assisting with service as required as part of the day-to-day operation of the Club
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service and venue presentation
- Coordinating catering, beverages, bowls and event requirements
- Managing the Club's social media presence and local marketing
- Managing suppliers, contractors and operational compliance




- Working with the Board on ongoing improvements and growth opportunities

About you

- Venue, hospitality or functions management experience
- Strong organisational and customer service skills
- Confidence with social media
- Ability to lead and build a reliable team
- Experience in a bowls or sporting club is an advantage, but bowls knowledge is not essential
